Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas, including academic buildings, parking lots, and perimeter zones, while verifying credentials and documenting incidents. Respond to alarms, medical situations, and critical events by coordinating with site contacts and public responders. Provide directions and communicate clearly with students, staff, visitors, and law enforcement during routine operations. Maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment. Work part-time shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Requires a valid driver's license, armed guard card, high school diploma, and age 21 or older. Subject to background investigation and drug screening.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license in the state where the job is located
- Armed guard card and/or license
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 21 years of age
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Valid driver's license for driving positions only
