Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas in academic buildings, parking lots, and perimeters while conducting armed patrols to deter security incidents. Respond to alarms, medical situations, and critical events by coordinating with site contacts and public responders. Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by verifying credentials, documenting policy violations, and communicating clearly during routine operations and emergencies. Work part-time shifts from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license in the state where the job is located
- Armed guard card and/or license
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 21 years of age
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Valid driver's license for driving positions only
