Job Summary
Conduct routine armed vehicle and foot patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns. Monitor access points, verify authorization for personnel and deliveries, and respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with professionalism. Provide customer service to employees and visitors while engaging with site contacts. Maintain armed post readiness, complete accurate activity and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to leadership. Requires an armed guard card, valid driver's license, and background investigation.
Required Qualifications
- Possess an armed guard card or license
- A valid driver's license
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
