Job Summary
Provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors at Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas. Perform proactive monitoring of and timely response to potential or actual security threats. Investigate, document, and manage security incidents and hazards while maintaining knowledge of alarm and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations. Provide information and assistance to promote safety. Operate a vehicle safely and responsibly if assigned, avoiding accidents and violations. Full-time night shift required. Texas DPS-credentialed driver's license and Weapon Permit required within four months; BLS provider, law enforcement, or Security Professional credentials preferred. High school diploma or one year of applicable experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Drivers License credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience
