Job Summary
Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific procedures and emergency response protocols at a busy retail location. Respond to incidents and disturbances with a calm, problem-solving approach, documenting details and coordinating with store leadership or emergency services. Conduct regular armed patrols throughout the sales floor, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and policy violations. Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to support loss prevention efforts and report suspicious behavior or hazards. Support opening, closing, and after-hours procedures by performing assigned checks, maintaining a visible presence, and completing required reports. This fixed-shift commitment in Houston, TX, requires a six-month anchor shift with the option to claim additional shifts through the Smart Tools platform. Candidates must hold a Level III Armed Certification, a valid driver's license, and three years of law enforcement, corrections, or five years of armed security experience.
Required Qualifications
- 21+ Years of Age
- Active Armed Guard Card/License (Texas only)
- Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements
- 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience
- Be at least 21 years of age
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
