Job Summary
Conduct regular patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to maintain a visible presence. Monitor access points, report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations, and respond to alarm-related incidents and critical situations using a calm, problem-solving approach. Provide customer service to residents and visitors while completing accurate activity logs and incident reports for site management. This unarmed patrol role in East Quogue, NY, requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and is open to applicants 18 years of age or older. Applicants must pass a background investigation and drug screen.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Alarm panel experience is preferred
- Loss prevention experience is preferred
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
- A guard card or license is preferred
- Access control or badge experience is preferred
