Job Summary
Provide security detail at Southdale Center per post orders; patrol buildings and perimeters, control entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, escort material and personnel, inspect security and fire exposures, and perform special assignments. Maintain a professional image, greet customers/visitors/employees, stay updated on post orders, monitor surveillance equipment, respond to emergencies, and complete Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports. Coordinate with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments; stay informed on emergency procedures and life safety systems, and ensure safe operation of elevators and access doors. Duties may vary by post; adhere to ADA accommodations and company policies; collaborate with Security Supervisor on issues or changes.
Required Qualifications
- Duties may vary depending on department size, organizational structure, geographic location and post assignments
- Be on time and report to post in full uniform
- Maintain professional image that includes greeting customers, visitors and employees
- Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position
- Monitor cameras or equipment
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports
- Have knowledge of any life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system computer, and other such equipment
