Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas at a utility location, maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents and support access control activities. Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors while responding to alarms and critical situations with professional communication. Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, access points, and perimeters, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs. Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately in required reports and shift logs using computer or tablet tools.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Access control and badge experience is preferred
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
