Job Summary
Assist visitors, provide directions, deter loitering, and patrol the site to ensure a secure environment. Respond immediately to emergencies, provide necessary support, contact emergency services, and protect assets from theft, assault, fire, or other safety issues. Write detailed incident reports and log book entries while collaborating effectively with team members. Maintain a professional demeanor and present yourself with confidence as the face of the organization. This role requires a valid New York State Security Guard License, CPR and First Aid certification, and two years of security and CCTV experience. Shifts run Friday through Tuesday between 2 PM and 6 AM, with a 40-hour schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of security experience
- 2 years of CCTV experience
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- CPR & First Aid certification
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Flexible work schedule, including weekends
- Strong and Consistent Work Ethic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Command of the English language and ability to communicate clearly
- Proficiency in using smartphones and tablets
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years old
- Authorized to legally work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug test with negative results
- Pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verification, as well as Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks, if applicable
- If prior military, must be able to provide a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, upon job offer
