Job Summary
Security Officer responsible for monitoring gate operations, verifying information, assisting with trailer traffic, completing reports, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, drivers, and visitors. Responsibilities include monitoring inbound/outbound traffic, verifying driver and shipment information, conducting routine inspections, reporting discrepancies or suspicious activity, maintaining professional communication with drivers and facility personnel, completing reports, supporting safe traffic flow, and collaborating with warehouse and transportation teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be eligible to obtain a Maryland State Guard Card
- Must be at least 21+ years old
- Strong professionalism and reliability
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and technology
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to complete paperwork and reports accurately
- Strong communication and customer service skills
