Job Summary
Conduct roving patrols on foot or in vehicle around perimeter fences, gates, buildings, warehouses, and switchyards. Screen employees and personal baggage at pedestrian and vehicle entrances, verify identity badges, and manage temporary badge processes. Verify seal controls on vehicles at gateways, operate X-ray machines, and monitor CCTV. Identify fire hazards, unauthorized activity, malfunctioning utilities, and hazardous conditions. Perform emergency duties requiring physical exertion such as standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50lbs, and running. Must be 21 years or older with a Security Guard Registration Card and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Have reliable transportation
- Physically capable of performing the assigned work
- Be able to meet all applicable licensing, registration, and certification requirements in the state in which the officer's assigned facility is located
- Communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- Must be 21 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Security Guard Registration Card
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand or walk for an entire shift
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to run
