Security Officer, 3rd shift, Per Diem

Safeguard, patrol, and monitor buildings, grounds, and property to protect lives, prevent theft, fire, vandalism, and unauthorized entry while enforcing Virtua policy. Conduct weapon screening at public entrances using approved technology and handheld wands, verify staff ID badges, and fabricate passes as needed. Perform assigned posts including walking and mobile security rounds, stationary posts, traffic control, and special assignments. Respond to emergency situations such as CODE Security and CODE RED alerts, escalate incidents to law enforcement, and serve as a first-level operations responder. Monitor alarms and surveillance cameras, investigate incidents, and address hazardous substance spills. Assist visitors, patients, and vendors with directions and escorts while maintaining excellent customer service.
