Job Summary

Maintain proficiency in static guard post duties while conducting advanced security training for all officers. Perform risk assessments of critical facilities, lead emergency responses, and coordinate domestic flight hardware transportation. Execute research and analysis to support security missions, utilizing skills in investigations, surveillance, and VIP escort. Serve as a liaison with law enforcement and industry stakeholders. Requires FAA Part 107 drone license, Level III security officer license, and US Government clearance. Available for day or night shifts, weekends, and travel up to 15%.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 5+ years of experience in the military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or advanced corporate security realm
  • 1+ year of executive protection, mobile asset protection, or emergency response team experience
  • Ability to work one of the following shifts: Day shift: (5AM - 5PM) or Night shift: (5PM - 5AM)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA Part 107 Drone license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain or possess a Level III Commissioned Security Officer license
  • Availability to work any schedule needed, to include; nights, weekends and rotating
  • Position is subject to pre-employment enhanced screening, including a background check, psychological test, bi-annual physical fitness test, and a drug and alcohol test
  • Position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally stand in a static position for extended periods
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of time in support of SpaceX Security requirements should the need arise
  • Valid driver's license
  • Possess or eligible for a valid state security officer license
  • Eligible for a US Government security clearance
  • Ability to effectively execute duties in extreme outdoor environments – heat, cold, rain
  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree
  • Military deployment and/or counterinsurgency experience
  • History of critical incident handling experience
  • Combat medic, EMT-B, or paramedic related experience
  • Advanced medical emergency training (TCCC/TECC/Combat Lifesaver)
  • Documented small unit leadership experience
  • Impeccable character and integrity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to de-escalate disputes and/or conflict(s)
  • Experience instructing security tactics, operations, and procedures
  • Computer based proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Extensive team-oriented experience
  • An intense interest in protecting the future of spaceflight
  • Foreign language proficiency
