Job Summary
Security Officer role at Mattel’s Pennsylvania Distribution Center. Maintain a safe, secure workplace by enforcing security regulations, performing hourly facility rounds, controlling building access, and responding to emergencies. Responsibilities include data entry for vehicles entering property (BOL), detailed incident report writing, and maintaining security during Monday–Friday operations (6:00 AM–2:30 PM) with weekends off. Requires a high school diploma or GED plus one year of related experience or training (or equivalent combination), CPR certification, ability to stand for long periods, basic computer skills (Word/Excel), and strong written/verbal communication. Prior corporate/law enforcement/military security experience is a plus; Guard Card desired. The role emphasizes collaboration, inclusion, and adherence to Mattel’s people-first culture.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- CPR certification
- Guard Card desired
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business policies, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
- Good Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Basic computer knowledge – Word and Excel
- Solid basic math skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience as a Security Officer in corporate, law enforcement or military environment is a plus
