SECURITY MONITOR

Maintain continuous alertness to control and secure the facility and residents by operating radios, conducting facility counts, and performing scheduled and random activities including pat downs, shakedowns, breath tests, and urinalysis testing. Patrol buildings to observe residents, verify door and window security, and ensure cleanliness checks of facilities and personal belongings meet health and environmental requirements. Prepare shift documentation, work orders, and security reports; receive information from previous shift personnel regarding medical, disciplinary, or new arrival events; and relieve the watch by documenting time, name, and title in the security log. Escort residents to medical appointments, community activities, and errands while supporting transportation functions and welcoming visitors with verified identity. Document disciplinary actions for rule violations, participate in staff meetings to share observations, and communicate professionally with residents and staff to maintain positive relations. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and comply with company policies, facility safety rules, and contracting agency stipulations.
