Job Summary
Maintain an orderly environment within the assigned unit by supervising resident movement, conducting daily inspections and searches of sleeping quarters, and monitoring security cameras. Perform scheduled resident headcounts, collect urine samples for substance abuse screenings, and supervise visitations while enforcing facility rules of conduct. Report resident accidents, injuries, and behavioral incidents to the supervisor, conduct appropriate crisis interventions, and transport residents to out-of-facility appointments. Provide orientation to new residents and discharge others as needed. Monitor eye drug testing when assigned and complete written count reports. Work full-time at $19.00/hour with overtime availability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- one (1) year general work experience
- Ability to serve as a model for resident behavior
- good interpersonal skills
- time management and organizational skills
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department
