Security Monitor - Domestic Violence Programs

Job Summary
Maintain visitor logs, secure facility doors, and monitor grounds to prevent theft and resident harm while ensuring fire safety protocols are followed. Provide administrative support for office coverage, telephone, and clerical tasks, and perform light maintenance when staff are absent. Function independently during 24-hour residential facility coverage, taking appropriate action in crisis situations per agency procedures. Assist with supply and furniture delivery, participate in monthly training seminars, and meet with the Security Supervisor for supervision. Requires a valid NY State Security Guard registration, three years of security experience, and flexibility with schedule as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Three years experience as a security monitor
- Need to understand the issues of domestic violence and need of women and children
- Experience working in a 24-hour residential facility
- Valid NY State Registration as a Security Guard
- Must have ability to be flexible with schedule as needed
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Must be computer literate
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft office applications
