Job Summary
Oversee safety and security of all facilities, assets, personnel, and visitors while managing security protocols for confidential information and documents. Maintain positive interpersonal relations with customers, co-workers, and managers; ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and Feeding America food safety requirements. Manage department scheduling and training; conduct physical security inspections of all facilities and equipment. Prepare reports on internal investigations of losses or policy violations; assist with emergency management, contingency planning, and annual audits of security processes. Conduct searches of premises and vehicles as required. Assist with security issues regarding associates, including terminations, theft, and violence situations, and coordinate with law enforcement and fire agencies. Work irregular hours, weekends, and respond to alarms with short notice.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in managing a safety and security department
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking to review and solve issues as they arise
- Self-directed, able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively with different departmental needs
- Proficient data entry skills
- Ability to work irregular hours as required by security operations
- Availability to work weekends as needed
- Ability to respond to alarm/emergency situations with short notice
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must possess a valid driver's license
