Job Summary
Security / Maintenance Labor / Custodial role at JPL NASA Table Mountain Facility in Wrightwood, CA. Responsibilities include security monitoring, custodial duties, and general maintenance; perform security walk-throughs of the facility grounds; provide janitorial/housekeeping services across buildings and grounds; assist with seasonal tasks including landscaping and snow removal; support facility upkeep and equipment handling; operate and maintain equipment and vehicles (GSA 4-wheel drive vehicles, Caterpillar IT12F, Bobcat loaders for snow removal); assist scientific personnel with loading/unloading equipment. Requires a Valid Guard Card; ability to use hand and power tools; ability to work outdoors in snow and extreme heat; strong teamwork and communication; U.S. Citizenship; ability to pass federal background check. Shifts available: Day, Swing, Night. Note: facility operates 24/7; total compensation is $25.80/hour (base $20.71/hour + $5.09/hour H&W), plus benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Guard Card
- Comfortable using hand and power tools for maintenance tasks
- Ability and willingness to work in various outdoor conditions, including snow and extreme heat
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- U.S. Citizenship required due to work on a Federal Government facility
- Ability to pass an extensive federal background check
