Job Summary
Conduct floor patrols and utilize Closed Circuit TV Cameras to identify and apprehend shoplifters. Draft detailed report writing and interact with local law enforcement as needed. Provide courtroom testimony when required. Perform duties while sitting, standing, and walking for up to 3-4 hours at a time. Maintain reliable transportation and attend all scheduled shifts without tardiness or absenteeism. This full-time role offers medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with paid sick days, holidays, and a 401K/403b plan.
Required Qualifications
- Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening
- Must be able to obtain state required PERC prior to employment
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
- Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports
- Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
- Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
- Attendance for scheduled shifts
- High School diploma or equivalent (minimum)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement
- Criminal Justice or related studies a plus
