Job Summary
Control access to hotel areas, monitor surveillance cameras, and conduct physical inspections to ensure guest and property safety. Thoroughly understand emergency response procedures, patrol front and back of house areas, and report hazards or suspicious persons. Maintain visitor logs, inspect packages, and enforce hotel rules while documenting all security incidents in appropriate reports. Respond to guest and team member incidents, gather information, and liaise with police when necessary. Prepare maintenance requests for safety issues and assist with after-hours storeroom entries and bloodborne pathogen policies. Work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays with CPR/First Aid certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years' previous security experience
- Excellent observation, communication, guest service and report writing skills
- Possess a CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be knowledgeable about fire procedures, disaster plan procedure, bomb threats and hotel evacuation procedures
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- Ability to work under pressure, keeping calm in emergency situations
- Ability to work on one's own or in a team environment
