Security Installation Technician III

Job Summary
Connect control panels, conceal wiring, and install commercial electronic security systems including door access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection for enterprise clients. Drive to client sites to program, configure, and troubleshoot installations while ensuring systems meet code requirements and contract specifications. Supervise teams of junior technicians, manage multiple medium- to large-sized jobs within approved hours and margins, and deliver product training to end-users. Maintain on-site scheduling coordination with the Project Manager and complete daily time entry from home. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to operate a company vehicle are required. Overnight travel may occur.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium- to large-sized jobs
- Possess or have the ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer Lic. etc.)
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
- Must possess a valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than one accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle
- Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet
- Ability and track record of successfully loading servers with third-party applications and deploying IP video solutions
- Possess general working knowledge of network architecture
- Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Project)
- Overnight travel may be required on an as-need basis
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with any or all of the following: Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh or ONSSI
