Job Summary
Install, program, and configure commercial electronic security systems including door access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection for enterprise clients. Troubleshoot new installations to ensure systems function properly and satisfy codes while driving to client sites with a company-issued vehicle. Supervise teams of Security Installation Technician I's and II's and manage medium- to large-sized jobs within approved hours and margin tolerances. Assist the Project Manager with on-site scheduling and timely equipment delivery. Complete time entry from home daily and deliver product familiarization training to end-users. Overnight travel may be required on an as-need basis.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium- to large-sized jobs
- Possess or have the ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer Lic. etc.)
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
- Must possess a valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle
- Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet
- Ability and track record of successfully loading servers with third-party applications and deploying IP video solutions
- Possess general working knowledge of network architecture
- Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Project)
- Overnight travel may be required on an as-need basis
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with any or all of the following: Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh or ONSSI
