Security Install Lead Technician

Job Summary
Lead advanced installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage security systems while actively performing field work. Coordinate daily job site activities and support crews to ensure efficient project completion, diagnosing complex issues and verifying system compliance with codes and customer requirements. Read blueprints, interpret technical manuals, and provide guidance and training to technicians and apprentices. Complete installation documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately. Travel to job sites as required, adhering to all safety procedures and customer site standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as a technician or above
- Must have at least 3+ years experience in a lead or supervisory role
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, if driving role
- Strong knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems
- Ability to independently complete advanced installation work and lead field operations
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments
- Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites
Desired Qualifications
- NICET Level II or above preferred
- Manufacturer certifications in security, access control, video surveillance, or integrated low-voltage systems preferred
