Job Summary
Monitor entrance and exit points, verify credentials, and conduct bag checks to secure access. Perform regular foot patrols throughout the racing complex to deter suspicious activity while observing and reporting safety hazards or policy violations. Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, coordinating with local law enforcement, fire personnel, and EMS as needed. Direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic, enforce venue policies, and assist guests with information or lost property. Complete accurate incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation. Work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays in an outdoor environment with varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid security guard license or certification
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation
- Must be available to work flexible schedules, including daytime, mid shifts and/or overnights, weekends, holidays and special events
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to work shifts lasting up to 8-12 hours
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs and navigate uneven terrain
- Ability to respond quickly during emergencies
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dust
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in event security, crowd control, law enforcement, military services, or a related field preferred
