Monitor common areas, hallways, and outdoor spaces to ensure safety and prevent conflicts. Check entry and exit points and security cameras to verify authorized access. De-escalate conflicts with calm verbal requests and elevate unresolved issues to supervisors. Respond to time-sensitive mental health needs, including suicide prevention and grief, per PAL policies. Maintain clear, factual documentation of incidents and participate in emergency procedures like fire drills and lockdowns. Build positive relationships with youth, families, and caretakers while attending required training and meetings.
