Job Summary
Conduct security screenings for personnel entering and exiting secure production areas housing AI infrastructure and data. Perform function checks on walk-through and handheld metal detectors at the start of each shift. Read, apply, and document Security Operation Procedures while maintaining screening checkpoints and activity reports. Monitor checkpoint traffic flow to recommend staffing adjustments and escalate violations or issues to the Shift Security Supervisor. Interact effectively with diverse cultures and provide feedback on the screening process. Work 8–12-hour shifts across days, afternoons, nights, and weekends in Richmond Hill, North York, Vaughan, and Etobicoke.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Licence
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response
- 3 years of security experience or 5 years of customer service experience with direct customer facing experience
- Strong communication and written skills
- Ability to follow procedure and be detail oriented
- Be able to work in an isolated and quiet environment
- Have flexibility for days, afternoons, nights and weekends and be able to work 8–12-hour shifts
- Commit to at least 3-4 days per week of availability
- Meet reliability clearance requirements for the Federal Government of Canada and be able to provide any supporting documentation requested
