Job Summary
Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols, mobile parking patrols, and monitor security systems and CCTV. Answer incoming and dispatch calls, maintain radio communications, and coordinate responses to alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, and incidents. De-escalate conflicts, enforce property rules, and provide customer service to shoppers and tenants. Complete detailed incident reports, occurrence reports, and daily activity logs while liaising with emergency services and mall management. Work a days continental rotation from 09:30 to 21:30 as a full-time security professional.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid G Ontario Drivers license and clean abstract
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergency situations
- Excellent conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Basic computer proficiency and report-writing abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must undergo comprehensive background screening
- Must be available for Days Continental Rotation 09:30 - 21:30
- Must be located in or willing to work in Etobicoke, ON
Desired Qualifications
- Previous security experience in a retail, commercial, or customer service environment
- Experience working in a high-end retail, luxury shopping centre, or commercial property environment
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a security team
- Knowledge of access control, CCTV systems, emergency response procedures, and incident management
- Experience coordinating emergency response and shift operations
