Job Summary
Security Guard for a high school campus responsible for patrolling buildings, parking lots, and campus grounds; monitor entrances, exits, and visitor access; enforce district policies and safety procedures; assist with student supervision during classes and after school; respond to disturbances, emergencies, and safety concerns; inspect for vandalism/theft/arson/drug activity; de-escalate conflicts; prepare incident reports and maintain security logs; collaborate with administrators, counselors, and local law enforcement; assist with emergency drills, lockdowns, evacuations, and crisis response; secure buildings and gates at end of site operations; provide directions and customer service to students, parents, staff, and visitors; perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years or more of previous security, law enforcement, or school safety experience
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Experience working with high school students preferred
- Mobility to walk around a large campus and parking areas
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
- Valid Arizona driver's license
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Card
- Proof of MMR immunization required unless born before 1957
- Negative TB test within the last year
