Job Summary
Monitor plant activity by conducting hourly rounds to check trailer and room temperatures, inspecting gates, and weighing trailers in and out. Track all associates entering and exiting the building, including car traffic, while monitoring weight master scales and billing loads. Answer switchboard inquiries after hours and receive shipments of supplies and raw materials. Ensure facility cleanliness and operability by inspecting trailers, strictly following and implementing company policies. Maintain a professional attitude and ability to communicate effectively under stress while working any shift without direct supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write and speak in English
- Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather and up/down stairs
- Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively under stress
- Attention to detail
- Professional attitude
- Ability to work any shift
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Verification of employment eligibility by the end of the third day of work
- Drug, alcohol, and background checks
