Job Summary
Security Guard role (Per Diem) responsible for campus security, monitoring vehicles and premises, responding to emergencies, writing incident reports, and supporting on-call personnel. Requires two years of security experience, high school education, a valid driving license (CDL preferred), First Aid certification, English literacy, and strong interpersonal skills to interact with residents and staff. Must be able to follow procedures, operate emergency systems, patrol buildings and grounds, secure doors, monitor traffic, and report hazards. California candidates may need a current California Security License. Compensation range $14.44-$18.80 hourly with benefits for full-time employees; per-diem/part-time schedules apply. This position is within Covenant Living’s Continuing Care Retirement Community system and includes commitment to safety policies and resident-focused service.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- Two years experience in security or other related work
- Current state driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- First aid certification
- Ability to read and write in English
- Good interpersonal skills and customer service
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Knowledge of campus facilities and emergency systems
- Willingness to work on a per-diem/part-time basis
- California security license (for CA candidates)
