Job Summary
Monitor campus areas, parking lots, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns. Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events while following established protocols. Conduct regular patrols of buildings and walkways, then report suspicious activity, maintenance issues, and policy violations to supervisors. Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by executing site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. Submit clear, accurate reports to appropriate personnel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 months of security-related experience
- A valid driver's license
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
