Job Summary
Ensure access control policies are followed and secure client property while monitoring CCTV cameras. Perform regular interior and exterior foot patrols, including parking lot coverage, and respond to alarms or calls for assistance. Maintain positive relationships with employees, visitors, and clients, and enforce the Trespass to Property Act when required. Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs, and incident reports using reporting software or paper forms. Sign visitors in and out with ID checks and liaise with Police, Fire, and EMS during incidents. Work Saturday and Sunday shifts from noon to midnight, requiring the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- Have the ability to obtain Level II Secret Clearance (resident in Canada 10 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history)
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of usage of tablet/iPad
- Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
- Ability to complete frequent patrols
- Must wear safety boots at all times on site
- Ability to lift up-to 25 lbs
