Security Guard (New South Bronx Center)

Monitor common areas, including hallways, gyms, stairwells, and outdoor spaces, to ensure safety and prevent conflicts. Control entry and exit points while reviewing security cameras to verify only authorized individuals access the building. De-escalate conflicts using calm verbal requests and elevate unresolved issues to supervisors. Respond to time-sensitive mental health needs related to suicide prevention, grief, or loss, and maintain clear, factual documentation of incidents. Participate in emergency procedures such as fire drills, evacuations, and lockdowns as directed by the Center Director. Build positive relationships with youth, families, and caretakers while attending all required training sessions and meetings.
