Security Guard

Permanent full-time Security Guard based in Auckland for BNZ, providing branch security and frontline customer service. Responsibilities include checking branch sites for graffiti/damage and reporting details, acting as the first point of contact for customers, assessing demeanour with a security lens, assisting branch staff with difficult customers, maintaining high situational awareness, asking customers to leave if they become aggressive/abusive, and using conflict resolution and problem-solving to manage issues. Requires COA (certificate of approval) to work as a security guard, and will be based across locations in the Auckland region with regular weekend work. The role emphasizes training, a proactive approach, strong observation and communication skills, and a culture of teamwork within BNZ’s Protective Services team.
