Job Summary
Monitor plant activity, conduct hourly rounds checking trailer and room temperatures, and oversee all associates entering or exiting the building. Weigh trailers in and out using master scales, answer switchboard calls after hours, and bill loads. Inspect trailers for cleanliness and operability, receive shipments of supplies and raw materials, and follow company policies. Fill in the Security Department as needed and cover for the Security Supervisor during their absence. This role generally works 2nd or 3rd shift with some 1st shift availability. Pilgrim's processes and delivers fresh and frozen food products globally, prioritizing safety for all team members and visitors.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write and speak in English
- Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather and up/down stairs
- Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively under stress
- Attention to detail
- Professional attitude
- Ability to work any shift
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for 1st shift as needed
- Must be available for 2nd or 3rd Shift
- Must pass drug, alcohol, and background checks
- Must verify employment eligibility by the end of the third day of work
