Job Summary
Conduct regular patrols of hospital grounds, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure site safety. Monitor surveillance systems and access control points, reporting suspicious activity immediately and controlling entry to restricted areas. Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security threats, assisting staff during crises and evacuations. De-escalate conflicts, enforce visitor and patient protocols, and document daily activities and incidents in accurate reports. Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement to maintain coordinated security efforts. This role supports withdrawal management facilities at St. Josephs Care Group. Applicants must hold a valid Ontario security license, First Aid & CPR Level C, and a clean G-class driver's license. Daily pay is available, and the position offers opportunities for advancement within Paladin Security.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Covid Vaccine two doses
- Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test (Should be already completed)
- Valid G class Driver License with last 3 years of Clean Abstract
- English (oral and written) fluency
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
