Job Summary
Monitor casino operations and operate surveillance systems to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and the facility. Conduct accurate chip counts and write detailed incident reports while maintaining high standards of guest service. Perform duties requiring extended periods of standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds. This role requires availability for all shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Candidates must hold a valid California Guard Card and pass background checks. Parkwest Casino is building a new casino culture and seeks dedicated individuals to help establish this fresh environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
- Open availability.
- Must be 21 years old.
- Must possess a valid California Guard Card.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge or license.
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background and credit check.
- Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to sit, walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
- Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
- Must be available to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
Desired Qualifications
- Keen observation skills.
- Understanding of basic card room games.
- High level of customer service to various personality types from multiple cultures.
- Ability to operate a surveillance system quickly and effectively.
- Ability to write an accurate detailed report.
- Ability to count chips with a limited number of mistakes.
