Job Summary
Conduct regular patrols to deter crime, report incidents and hazards, and manage access control. Operate emergency equipment as needed, document nightly activity, and investigate property breaches. Maintain a safe environment while delivering strong customer service and resolving conflicts. This role requires an active Hawaii Security Guard Card, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work all shifts including weekends. Full-time and part-time positions are available with open availability required. IPSC offers armed and unarmed security services, patrol, law enforcement, and electronic security solutions across Hawaii.
Required Qualifications
- Current/Active Hawaii Security Guard Card
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presentation and demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and active cellphone
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine foot patrols
- Ability to communicate clearly and quickly during emergencies
- Ability to read and interpret written information
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle if required
- Ability to detect emergency sounds such as alarms or distress signals
- Ability to walk, run, stand, climb, and sit as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs if required
- Must meet all Hawaii state licensing requirements (Armed or Unarmed, as applicable)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends
- Must have open availability
Desired Qualifications
- Prior law enforcement, military, or 1+ year of security experience
