Job Summary
Security Guard I patrols the Gaming Floor and casino premises to maintain a safe environment and deliver STAR Experience. Responsibilities include greeting guests, inspecting identifications and baggage, enforcing house rules, guiding guests, assisting with questions, recording lost & found items, generating incident reports, coordinating with Surveillance and other departments, supporting escort and transfer procedures, monitoring payouts and keeping accurate paperwork, responding to emergencies with basic first aid and CPR/AED, using two-way radios, and maintaining positive guest service and compliance with policies. Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform duties in a loud, regulated casino environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED; or minimum of two months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination education and experience.
- Must meet all licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal-State Compact for Gaming.
- Basic First Aid, CPR & AED, Blood Borne Pathogens, Counterfeit Money, Customer Service for security staff, Drowning Victim Recognition, Fire Extinguisher, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Office Procedures and forms, Report Writing, PPCT, Pepper Spray Certification, pepper spray exposure, Right to know, Tito Ticket Procedures, Verifiers Training, Verbal Judo, Basic Security Training; training courses provided after hire.
