Job Summary
Patrols hospital and district grounds to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors; enforces safety protocols; observes, reports, and responds to unusual activities and hazards; intervenes in suspicious or unauthorized activity and coordinates with local law enforcement as needed; escorts employees, patients, and visitors; monitors parking and lighting; maintains incident logs and key-control systems; responds to emergency codes and participates in drills; supports facility readiness and hospital operations through presence and visibility; requires a California driver’s license, BSIS Guard Card, and timely completion of BLS and ICS-100/ICS-200 certifications; Education: High School Diploma or GED; Previous healthcare security experience is highly desired.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1 year of security guard experience in healthcare highly desired
- Valid California driver’s license
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card throughout employment
- Possess or complete certification in Basic life-saving course (BLS) within 3-months of hire
- Possess or complete certification in ICS-100 & ICS-200 within 3-months of hire
