Job Summary
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities in a healthcare laboratory setting. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations following established protocols, while conducting regular patrols of laboratory areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter. Monitor access points and visitor activity to verify authorization, maintaining accurate records of incidents and observations. Report maintenance hazards and suspicious activity to site leadership or supervision. This role supports access control and utilizes computer-based systems in Tempe, AZ, with a day shift schedule from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 months of security-related experience
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Alarm panel experience is preferred
- Access control and badge experience is preferred
- Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred
