Job Summary
Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols of laboratory areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities in a healthcare laboratory setting. Support access control, verify visitor authorization, and report maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, and security issues to site leadership.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 months of security-related experience
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Alarm panel experience is preferred
- Access control and badge experience is preferred
- Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred
