Job Summary
Maintain a professional demeanor while monitoring the environment to detect suspicious activity and enforce facility policies. Greet customers, visitors, and staff professionally, answer all phones, and permit authorized entry by monitoring entrances and exits. Perform required patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, observe departing personnel to prevent theft, and monitor alarms and systems. Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities as directed. Requires a state-mandated security officer license, high school diploma, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills. Monday through Friday open availability.
Required Qualifications
- State or municipality mandated security officer licenses
- Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent
- Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period
- Must have reliable means of communication and transportation
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- neat and professional appearance
- ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activity
- Know the facility / building policies and procedures
- Write routine correspondence, to include log entries and incident reporting
Desired Qualifications
- Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, customer service experience
