Job Summary
Security Guard role responsible for maintaining property standards and enforcing rules, conducting foot patrols, responding to emergencies, managing access control, documenting incidents, and coordinating with emergency services. Requires BC Security License and OFA 1 certification, 1+ year security experience, strong communication, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in English. Duties include incident reporting, CCTV monitoring, de-escalation, and supporting daily operations on-site at a North Vancouver location.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 1 year of prior Security experience
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a British Columbia Security License
- Must have an OFA 1 certificate
- Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol by foot for extended periods (8-12 hours)
- Experience in Loss Prevention / Retail Security is considered an asset
- Must be fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Must be capable of handling high-stress emergency situations
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced environment
- Must demonstrate high attention to detail and interpersonal skills
