Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas at a government educational location to deter security incidents and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events professionally while following established reporting procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeters to identify and report concerns. Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to school representatives and leadership. Provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- CPR certification is preferred
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
- A guard card or license is preferred
- Customer service experience is preferred
