Job Summary
Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior shopping center areas while monitoring CCTV systems, alarm panels, and access control systems. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies per site procedures, assisting guests, tenants, and staff with inquiries. Complete detailed daily activity logs and incident reports, enforcing property rules and regulations professionally. Liaise with emergency responders and site representatives when necessary, providing support for lost and found, first aid, and emergency procedures. Maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations while ensuring guest safety and property protection in this high-traffic retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Saskatchewan Security Worker License
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Comfortable with basic computer systems and incident reporting software
- Strong observation and situational awareness
- Dependability and punctuality
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle conflict and de-escalate situations effectively
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Must undergo a background check
