Job Summary
Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, entrances, playgrounds, athletic areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner by notifying appropriate school personnel or emergency responders. Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and other community members while monitoring access points and reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, or maintenance issues. Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and security observations. Work a full-time day shift from 11:45 AM to 6:15 PM, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- A guard card or license is preferred
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
- Customer service experience is preferred
