Job Summary
Conduct daily patrols and facility access control to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry while ensuring the safety of employees, patients, and visitors. Investigate thefts, disturbances, and suspicious activity; manage anti-theft alarm systems and report crimes to local law enforcement. Assist staff with patient interventions, including 5150 holds, and utilize AIDET principles in all interactions with patients, families, and staff. Maintain files, report equipment issues, and complete monthly training. Full-time night shift with weekend availability required.

- Working knowledge of the Medical Equipment Management program
- Working knowledge of the Security Management program
- Working knowledge of the requirements of the: Life Safety program, Utilities Management program, Hazardous Materials program, Emergency Preparedness program, Safety Management program, Medical Equipment Management program, Security Management program
Desired Qualifications
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of current experience in an acute hospital setting as a security guard, preferred
