Job Summary
Conduct daily patrols to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry, ensuring the safety of employees, patients, visitors, and physicians. Control facility access, activate anti-theft alarms, and investigate suspicious activity or disturbances. Assist staff with patient interventions, including 5150 holds, while maintaining clear communication and adhering to AIDET principles. Monitor equipment and environmental issues, report crimes to local law enforcement, and complete monthly training. Abide by HIPAA regulations and participate in disaster and fire drill procedures. Full-time night shift with six months to one year of acute hospital security experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of current experience in an acute hospital setting as a security guard
- Working knowledge of hospital emergency codes
